Hi there,
i'm shanna. I'm here to help

I work with people on sexual, emotional, and relationship issues. I believe everyone deserves to experience physical and emotional pleasure. Let me help you figure out how to bring your head, heart, and body together to make your life better.

I know how difficult it can
be to ask for help.

Sex and intimacy are very personal topics that many people find difficult to talk about. Just exploring this website is a big step in seeking help. When issues come up, many are at a loss to express or trust their feelings. Fear, guilt, or embarrassment can cut off communication before it even starts. You end up feeling isolated and worthless.

I want you to know you aren't worthless.

I will help you break through those barriers. I don't judge- I listen, empathize, educate, and motivate. I can help you find your voice, be confident in your choices, and know you're worthy of the life you desire.

A little about me.

I'm a helper. I'm not a celebrity who talks in memes, or a guru sitting on top of a mountain, dispensing truth through confusing parables.  I'm a professional counselor with a specific education in holistic sex therapy, many years of clinical experience, and observational skills they can't teach you in school. I see the world through your eyes and understand how you think of yourself, your partner, and the world around you.

And I'm also a real person, just like you. I will never suggest something I wouldn't do myself, and I try to stay mindful of treating you the way I would want to be treated. I don't take your trust lightly. I'll walk with you through hard conversations, and we'll share a laugh or two along the way. Together, we will find a way out of the problems that hold you back from a genuinely pleasurable life.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), and I’ve been in private practice in Frisco, TX since 2007. As a Supervisor, I get to help train new interns on becoming seasoned counselors. After a decade of being open to more general issues therapy, I realized I had a true gift when working on sexual issues. So I shifted my visibility towards people with sex and relationship problems. More and more clients began to come to me for sexuality, gender, relationship, and sexual trauma issues.

I graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Minor in Philosophy before getting my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Southern Methodist University. I then went on to become a Certified Holistic Sex Therapist through the Institute for Sexuality Education & Enlightenment.

Before starting my private practice, I worked as a counseling coordinator at the Family Place in Dallas, TX- one of the largest Domestic Violence shelters in the state, if not the country. While there, I did intake sessions, led group therapy, and worked with victims in the Incest Recovery Unit. After that, I worked as a caseworker for the state. I provided home visits for those that were chronically mentally ill. I spent a few years working inpatient mental health at Green Oaks Hospital, and working to help people access mental health resources with their insurance benefits.

I’m LGBTQIA+ and non-binary affirming, kink-aware certified, and have a specialization in trauma treatment. And if you have read all of this, you can easily see that I have observed human beings from many different angles. I'm not afraid to say that my life and career has made me wise when it comes to topics that most people misunderstand or shy away from.

So trust me when I say, nothing you're going to tell me will be too difficult for me to understand!

It doesn't matter where you're starting from, as long as you just get started!
